Skanska has launched an all-employee Digital GP service, providing employees and their immediate families with advice, reassurance and, where appropriate, diagnosis anytime of the day.
This exciting new benefit is part of Skanska’s ongoing commitment to support the health and well-being of its team members and their loved ones.
Available 24/7, the Digital GP Service allows employees to connect with a doctor via video call or phone consultation. The service operated by HealthHero, also provides prescription services, open referrals and fit notes assisting Skanska people to receive trusted healthcare support without the need for an in-person appointment. Best of all, this service is extended to all employees’ families.
Harvey Francis, Skanska UK Executive Vice President, who has led the implementation of this new service said: “We are really pleased to be able to extend this benefit to all our employees, Care for Life is one of our core values, by providing a way to access GP services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year we are supporting our people and their families to stay healthy”
Wait times in accessing public medical services have increased significantly since the pandemic and this service gives Skanska people the access to the care they might need, quickly and easily, helping them to recover and make the return to work easier.
By offering a flexible, around-the-clock healthcare solution, Skanska is reducing the strain on traditional healthcare systems while empowering employees to prioritise their health from the comfort of their own home or on the go.
